The Opportunity:
The Product Manager will develop and implement LAP-BAND® strategy to grow the business and achieve financial targets. Responsible for establishing budget, developing marketing plans and implementing/executing key programs. Develop and coordinate LAP-BAND® programs, key messaging, product differentiation, positioning, materials and competitive analysis. Provide strategic recommendations for new programs to address customer needs as well as provide feedback to the organization. Coordinate with Market Research to identify needs of Bariatric Surgeons, Coordinators, Referring Physicians and Patients. Champion the product development cycle of the product line, focusing on new indications and new product opportunities. Understand and summarize clinical studies into meaningful product messages. Identify and develop KOL's to promote activity in medical societies, meetings, and publications. Coordinate with Customer Support, Sales, Finance and Professional Education in implementation of critical programs. Perform field visit with surgeons and sales team.
REQUIREMENTS:
The Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University in Marketing, Business Administration or Communications
• 3-5 years professional marketing experience in medical device, pharmaceutical and or medical brands
• Strong operative clinical experience a plus
• Experienced with product launch or indications
• Analytical and presentation skills
• Strong creative and conceptual thinking skills
• Ability to develop key strategies and execute
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Strong problem resolution skills
• Ability to work in complex multi-faceted organization
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Financial/budgetary experience
• Proven sales ability with consultative approach
• Ability to travel
• Ability to work in a team environment with shared goals
